Where have you previously coached?

I previously coached at a local football club before joining Bloomsbury where I have since certainly been able to gain more experience working with young boys and girls to improve their skills as players, and my own as a coach.

What coach do you aspire to be like?

Pep Guardiola. He has a unique style of play and a massive passion for the game which I admire. I believe the best way and the most enjoyable way to play football is by having more touches and possession of the ball than your opponent and that’s the philosophy Guardiola has had in all the teams he has managed. He has also most notably won every title possible in club football!

What is your fondest football achievement?

My fondest achievement that I will always remember would have to be the time I signed for Chelsea Football Academy when I was 12 years old. It was something I had dreamt of as a small child and I couldn’t believe it had actually happened! Even though later on I ended up signing for my dream club Arsenal, that initial introduction to academy football playing with the best young kids in the country will always be my most memorable.

What is the most rewarding aspect of coaching at Bloomsbury Football Academy?

The most rewarding aspect would have to be seeing the massive growth in ability and confidence that the boys and girls develop through each session. It’s great to see them becoming better technically in their skills and feeling proud to play such a wonderful sport. The best thing for any coach is seeing everyone enjoying and feeling happy about the sessions.

What football club do you support?

Arsenal. London is red!

Who is your favourite player?

Sergio Busquets. He is still one of the best players in the world today even though he is very underrated by many. He dominates football matches with just his passing ability alone. My advice would be to take some time to watch him in action.
