Where have you previously coached?

I am still very early in my career as a football coach, and my coaching role at Bloomsbury is my first official coaching job. I have been given a fantastic opportunity by the club to learn and develop as a coach all while furthering the development of the fantastic teams and players on show. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and am motivated to repay the trust put in me by Bloomsbury!

What coach do you aspire to be like?

My greatest inspiration as a coach has been Arsene Wenger; he truly inspired me to love football and is the reason why I wanted to pursue a career in football in the first place. I always admired the way in which his Arsenal teams played football and his calm, professional demeanor. As well as Wenger, I love the way in which Klopp succeeds in forging and maintaining great relationships with his players and Guardiola’s immense work rate and pain-staking attention to detail.

What is your fondest football achievement?

I look back on the many summer tournaments and leagues I played in as a youngster very fondly, but my love for the game certainly grew massively as I got older. In line with this, winning the MK District league as a 16 year old sticks out to me above all else; we were very much the underdogs all season but won the title due to our immense work rate as a team. Alongside this, winning the double (the District League and Marsworth Cup) in my first season in senior men’s football at the age of 17 also ranks amongst my proudest achievements.

What is the most rewarding aspect of coaching at Bloomsbury Football Academy?

Working at Bloomsbury has so far been a pleasure all around. I feel that I have developed massively as a coach in the relatively short amount of time I have coached at the club; it has been fantastic to work at such a progressive and ambitious club with a group of people who share this ambition. Of course, working with such a motivated and talented group of kids is incredibly rewarding and inspiring; I could not ask for anything more.

What football club do you support?

The Arsenal. Best club in the world.

Who is your favourite player?

My favourite player has always been Cesc Fabregras; getting to watch him live and witnessing his prowess on the ball was superb. Santi Cazorla, Kevin De Bruyne, Sadio Mane and Alexis Sanchez have also all had a massive impact on me, all incredible players that have been a pleasure to watch.
